Friendship Festival Brings Every Class Together

Every class spent the first Thursday of August on the Friendship Festival - a small event with a serious purpose.

The morning ran on partner activities: shared drawing, trust games, and the friendship tree, where each child adds a leaf naming someone in the class who has been kind to them. The rule that makes it work is that no name may be chosen twice, so by the end of the session everybody's name is somewhere on the tree.

Classes closed the morning with a friendship pledge written in their own words. Those pledges stay on the notice boards for the rest of the term.
