A Campus Built for Curiosity

A green campus in the middle of T. Nagar is not something we take for granted. The trees along the drive are older than most of the buildings, and on a Chennai afternoon they are the reason the ground stays usable.

The ground

The play area runs the full width of the campus - swings, climbers, slides and a marked track that becomes the sports arena every December. It is open at break for Pre-Primary and after school for Primary, and it is the single most-used facility we have.

How the blocks are arranged

Inside, the blocks are arranged so that the youngest children have the shortest walk to their classrooms, the washrooms and the activity room. The Pre-Primary wing has its own gated entrance, which keeps the smallest children away from the main gate traffic entirely. The rainbow gate at the entrance was painted by our own students and staff a few years ago, and it has quietly become the thing every visiting family photographs. We have no plans to repaint it in a sensible colour.
