Runners-Up in the FC Madras Emerging Stars League

Mohammed Rafan of OLIS returned from the Emerging Stars League (ESL-U07) with a runners-up trophy and a Certificate of Merit.

Congratulations to Mohammed Rafan, who finished the Emerging Stars League (ESL-U07) season conducted by FC Madras in the runners-up position, and came back to school with a Certificate of Merit and a trophy considerably taller than expected.

Under-7 football is not about tactics. It is about turning up week after week, learning to lose a match on Saturday and train again on Monday, and discovering that the team matters more than any individual in it. Rafan did all of that alongside a full school week.

We are glad to see more of our students taking up organised sport outside school hours, and we are always happy to work with families around fixtures and training schedules. If your child is competing in an external league, please tell the class teacher - we would like to follow it, and to report it here.
