Christmas Celebration & Nativity Play

The last working day before the Christmas break belongs to the children. The auditorium stage is set for the nativity, which our Primary students rehearse through December and perform themselves - narration, costumes, carols and all.

Every class decorates a tree and a corner of its own during the preceding week, and the corridor becomes a small forest by the 17th. The judging is done by the staff, but the deciding vote each year goes to the Pre-KG children, who are walked down the corridor and asked to point at their favourite.

The morning closes with carols in the quadrangle, a class gift exchange, and a visit from Santa, who has never yet failed to find the school.

Students may bring one small wrapped gift for the class exchange, within the price limit sent home with the circular. School closes for the Christmas break at the end of the day - reopening details go home with the term report.
