Diwali Celebration 2026

The Friday before the Diwali break belongs to the children. Classes decorate their own doorways, the Primary corridor fills with kolam, and every child comes in traditional dress instead of uniform.

The morning opens with a short assembly on the meaning of the festival, told simply and in a way that includes every family in our school. Class teachers then run their own celebrations - lamp decorating in Pre-Primary, a sweets exchange in Primary, and a card-making corner for anyone who would rather draw than dance.

We keep the day entirely cracker-free. It is safer for small children, easier on our neighbours, and it has never once made the morning less enjoyable.

Students may bring a small box of sweets to share. Please avoid nuts, and label anything home-made.
