Our Lady's Feast, Little Sprouts Week & Literacy Week

The week opens with the school's own feast day. A statue of Our Lady is brought to the stage and decked in flowers, and every section takes a turn standing before her - the youngest children in their festive best, holding a small lamp, while the older students lead the hymns and readings that give the day its name.

Alongside the feast, our Pre-Primary classrooms run Little Sprouts Week, built around growth in every sense of the word - planting activities, nature crafts, and a fair number of paint-stamped leaves finding their way onto corridor trees.

Literacy Week belongs to the Primary section and its stage. Show and Tell returns for the week, with children preparing a short piece to present to their class - a costume, a fact, a story of their own choosing - and speaking to it without a script to fall back on.

Taken together, the week is less a single event than a reminder of what the school is built on: faith, early growth, and the confidence to stand up and speak.
